1. “A large income is the best recipe for happiness I ever heard of.” – Jane Austen
What she means by this quote is that if you have a large income of currency or valuables you will truly be happy, however I do not agree with this because many people are happy without money or valuables, they can find happiness in other things other than things that once you lose will make you unhappy.
2. “Don’t wait around for other people to be happy for you. Any happiness you get you’ve got to make yourself.” – Alice Walker
What she means by this is that people can’t force you to be happy, happiness is yours to make. You can be either happy or unhappy, that is your choice to make but don’t let people be happy for you.
3. “Happiness uplifts you, happiness fills your heart, your mind, and your soul. Happiness gives you the strength you need, happiness is a great feeling that, enters your mind, happiness takes the sorrow away. Happiness fills you life with joy, happiness makes you feel happy, excited, and thrilled. Happiness warms your heart, it gives you a sense of relief, happiness welcomes you. Happiness can be seen by a smile, And in your eyes, twinkling with shine. Happiness is a very beautiful feeling, which allows you to enjoy, every day to the fullest.” – Maryam Kazmi
This poem represents all the things happiness can give you, it says that happiness can let you take on the world, and be stronger than anyone and everything, with happiness it says you are unstoppable and can take on the entire world.
4. “True happiness is… to enjoy the present, without anxious dependence upon the future.” –Lucius Annaeus Seneca
What they mean by this quote is that happiness is being happy with the present not what lies ahead. If you think about the future to much you will start to worry about what will happen and that will stress you out, instead we should be happy with what is going on right now

Warfare from WWI to WWII
The style of war has changed drastically during WWII compared to WWI, because technology has improved and changed a lot during the years, people no longer have the same perspectives on war anymore, and battlefield settings have changed significantly into more tactical areas.
In WWI war time technology was a lot simpler. Instead of having motor vehicles in battle they used horses for transporting supplies, artillery, and troops to the upper trenches. “the other is dead too, I say in English” This quote specifies the fact that horses were a valuable tactic and asset to the war and if you managed to kill one of the enemy horses you would have blocked off some of their supply lines and ended one of their ways of transportation. WWII had a lot more technical way of transportation; they had trucks and tanks that were used to transport artillery rounds and men into the battlefield by which they would eradicate the enemy and hold their newly gained ground for enemy counterattacks. Other than transportation soldier arms were improved and new ones were created during the years. During WWI the Canadian soldier’s most common rifle was the Ross rifle which was used by both British and Canadians, due to constant jamming and failure the rifle was replaced by the Lee-Enfield and other improved rifles. ”Ross rifles, I whisper over to McCaan and he looks at me swearing more, the words louder and angrier. It’s our own rifles firing at us”. A German soldier’s most common rifle was the Gewehr 71/84 made by Mauser, a popular fire arms company during WWI and WWII. “I covered him as best I can, I lay my rifle down on him, the one he has wanted for so long.”In WWII the most common Canadian rifle was the SMLE version of the Lee-Enfield a variant of the original Lee-Enfield. The most common rifle used by Germans in WWII was the Gewehr 43 an upgraded version of the 71/84 model, and the Karabiner 98k.Airplanes, whose designs were feeble and simple, were very dangerous in WWI they had next to no protection from incoming fire and were easily taken down. In the years past, inventors decided to do something about this and create planes out of metal, which simultaneously created armour and a more stable flight. While improving these planes they also made certain features that were unique to each type such as bomber planes whose design was specific to bombing.
In WWII soldiers who were going to war already knew the horrible things war has to show them, and they know that going to war was not exactly how the government and recruiters portray. In WWI the way the recruiter’s portrayed war was that you would be a hero and that you’d only be there for a month or so. If you stayed home and did not join the military you were considered a coward, and that would stay with you for life. In WWII if you stayed home you were still considered a coward, but not as much. WWI had a lot more leniency when it came to drafting soldiers, if you were a non-worthy man to serve the military you were allowed to stay home without ridicule or harassment, but in WWII the military needed every last man to fight because the war lasted a lot longer than the first world war, and the Axis had control over a lot more area.
As for battlefield settings the main tactic used in WWI was the infamous Trench Warfare tactic. This tactic involved opposing forces digging long trenches in the ground and constantly assaulting each other, with machine guns fire, sniper fire, mortar and artillery fire, and trench raids. A trench raid was a tactic used in trench warfare where a team of two or three men would go out into, the land separating opposing trenches called “No Man’s Land”, head into the enemy trench capture a prisoner and then return to their own trench, for interrogation. In WWII the invention of tanks made trench warfare official out-dated and useless, they saw to it that battle was out in the open, and that hiding in a trench would not help the fact that there is a gigantic war machine above you. In terms of tactics and preparation, battles were planned differently than WWI, since there were no trenches soldier’s dug into cities and other easily concealable areas and ambushed the enemy. Battle relied a lot more on surprise and planning. Instead of field battle, battles were more city based and technical, and relied on a lot of man power to get things done, even with casualties.
